His father and mother have died, leaving Mike alone in the world. In his wildest dreams, Mike could not have anticipated the hostility and violence that await him. It is Les Shotwells reputation as a gunfighter in Bandit of the Brindlebar which inspires the small ranchers of the Brindlebar to enlist his aid on their side in a range war pitted against the big ranchers.

Valhalla is a story of railroading in the days of steam locomotives written with the brilliant expertise of Flynn, who had worked for railroads for many years. The Fighting Breed finds Larry Remington, deputy sheriff, accused of robbery and the murder of a close friend on his return from a pursuit of bank robbers.

T. T. Flynn was born Thomas Theodore Flynn, Jr., in Indianapolis, Indiana, and was the author of over a hundred short novels. He lived much of his life in New Mexico and spent much of his time on the road, exploring the vast terrain of the American West.

His novel The Man from Laramie was made into a motion picture starring James Stewart.
